1. What fees does bidJDM charge?
There are no fees to bid on auctions. If you choose to use PayPal you don't even have to pay upfront to bid. If you win an auction there are 2 fees you have to pay plus the shipping of your won auction to your country. The two fees are;
1. The final ending bid fee. This is a percentage fee taken from the final auction price. The percentage will depend on the category the auction item is listed under and can be found on each auction page when you click "Bid Now".
2. The size handling fee. This fee is based on the size or weight (whichever is larger) of the item and the location the seller is shipping the item from. This chart can be found on each auction page when you click the "Handling Fee" button and you will be able to very accurately determine how large the item is from the pictures and figure out what this fee will be before bidding.
Back to Questions
2. Can I combine my RHDJapan purchases with bidJDM purchases?
No. The bidJDM database, distribution warehouse and employees are different from RHDJapan's so there can be no possible combination of orders at this time. The only exception to this is if you hold a dealer account with bidJDM and RHDJapan and you are receiving container loads packed and shipped by either bidJDM or RHDJapan.
Back to Questions
3. When I search the same word in Yahoo Auction I get different results……
bidJDM takes Yahoo auction data directly from the auctions but presents it a little differently than Yahoo itself. You can try the advanced search to use other searching options or try sorting the search results to find the items you want. In some rare cases bidJDM blocks Yahoo sellers because they have proven to be fraudulent. To insure a safe bidding environment bidJDM has removed them from the listings.
Back to Questions
4.In the auction description it says the seller wont ship internationally……
This is where bidJDM comes into play. Without a Japanese bank account and mailing address, as well as the ability to read and write Japanese, it is close to impossible to use Yahoo Auctions Japan by yourself. bidJDM will contact the seller for you, buy the item for you, handle all the shipping arrangements and send you your auction goods directly to your door.
Back to Questions
5.Is there a size or weight limitation?
No, with bidJDM the sky is the limit! We can ship containers of goods and other very large items. Please bear in mind that extra fees such as container storage, customs clearance and international shipment preparation will be charged if you get engines, transmissions and other items that cannot be easily posted. Please acknowledge this beforehand.
Back to Questions
6. What about vehicles and other very large items like engines and transmissions?
You will need a special account to bid on vehicles but you are free to apply for it and bidJDM will contact you accordingly. Engines and transmissions can be purchased by anyone but there will be extra fees for cleaning, boxing and customs clearance. Please acknowledge this before hand.
Back to Questions
7. Can I cancel my bid during or after the auction?
Bids on auctions cannot be canceled at any time. Since you are participating in those Yahoo auctions through the bidJDM service, it is not possible to cancel any bids once they are made.
Back to Questions
8. How long will it take for my item to arrive after it has been won?
bidJDM is centrally located in Tokyo and therefore at the heart of Japan. Shipping to us takes 3 to 7 days and all won auctions are processed the following business day. Most Yahoo sellers are very prompt and ship immediately upon payment. Shipping from bidJDM will depend on the service available for your country that you choose. SAL (if available) takes up to 16 days, express mail takes 6 days.
Back to Questions
9. I have won my auction but would like to win some more and have them shipped together, can you do this?
Yes, there is a window of 5 free storage days with bidJDM and if any other commodities arrive within that window you can choose to have them shipped together no problem. You also have the option to extend to 5 more storage days twice. This gives you a total of a 15 day window (5 free and 10 paid) that you can get items in and have them shipped out.
Back to Questions
10. How does bidJDM inspect my won auctions?
After the commodity arrives to the bidJDM distribution center the following inspections occur:
- The commodity won is the commodity that has arrived.
- The commodity can be legally exported from Japan and legally imported to your country.
* The above-mentioned inspection doesn't guarantee the quality and exportability of the commodity. Moreover, the commodity cannot be inspected and verified against the fine print in the description used to sell the auction. According to circumstances beyond bidJDM's control, even with the inspection of goods, the import might not be permitted in the customhouse of your country. Please acknowledge this beforehand.
Back to Questions
11. Are there returns on my items?
bidJDM sells nothing so we cannot accept returns on items we do not sell. In some cases we can contact the auction seller on your behalf but most auctions are sold as 返品不可 which means no returns. Please consult the actual auction listing to confirm what conditions are set by the seller.
Back to Questions
